If the CurrentWare client is installed on a computer with many concurrent users (for example on a Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services computer), there may be a higher volume of activity on the client database. The client stores policies and tracked activity data on a single database, and when there is a high number of users with high activity the database writes need to be managed differently to remain organized.
In CurrentWare v11.0.0 onwards
Under Tools > Troubleshooting > Client > Multi-User Tracking, enable the option for Optimize for Terminal Server or Citrix Tracking. Use Moderate if there will be less than 30 concurrent users, or High if there may be more.
If the system uses Citrix seamless agent or equivalent, it may benefit from an optimization to use alternative methods for tracking applications running within the virtualized/sandboxed environment.
In CurrentWare v10.0.2
Under Tools > Troubleshooting > Client > Client Database, you can specify the usage of a database write lock mechanism to improve the reliability of activity tracking during high-traffic periods. This may have a small performance impact due to the extra processing.
