Is WinDivert safe?

In some cases, CurrentWare files may be detected as a threat to your computer by your antivirus software. Some antivirus software label CurrentWare or its related files as PUA (Potentially Unwanted Application) due to the control and restrictions CurrentWare can enforce on your computer.

A PUA is not considered a virus, malware, or other type of threat. It can be labelled this as it can also pickups programs that deal with privacy, like CurrentWare, where you are able to track what your end users are doing.

If your antivirus detects WinDivert as a threat in your CurrentWare client computers, add it to your exclusion list to ensure CurrentWare functions as expected.

You can also view our list of recommended CurrentWare files and folders to include to your antivirus exclusion/whitelist here.
