How It Works

The Workforce Cost Summary dashboard is an addition to the Utilization dashboard and is available through BrowseReporter > Dashboard > Utilization. You must first configure the feature by setting up salary information.

Configuration

1. Navigate to the Utilization dashboard and click on Configuration.

2. Enter the average salary for your employees.

• You can also enter custom salaries for specific users or groups for more granular results.

• Hourly salary is automatically calculated based on the entered annual or monthly salary.

Password Protection

To protect sensitive salary data, you can set a password to restrict access. Only operators with the "Salary Configuration and Insights" permission can access and edit this information. Without the correct password, operators are blocked from viewing or editing any salary details.

Dashboard Metrics

The Cost Summary tab within the Utilization dashboard uses the salary data to calculate and display the financial impact of lost productivity. Key metrics include:

• Baseline Shortfall: The difference between your actual productive time and the minimum expected utilization.

• Cost of Baseline Shortfall: The financial cost of this shortfall, calculated based on the user's hourly salary.

• FTE (Full Time Equivalent) Slack: The proportion of a full-time employee that is underutilized over a period. This helps you identify departments with excess capacity where staff could potentially be reallocated to other teams.

Data Privacy and Security

We've implemented measures to protect your sensitive data:

• Salary information can be password-protected to ensure only authorized personnel can view or edit it.

• Salary data is obfuscated in the database to prevent database administrators from seeing salary details.
