To add an extra layer of security, enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your CurrentWare operator accounts. This ensures that even if your CurrentWare console password is stolen or compromised, that only you can sign in.
How two-factor authentication works:
- Each time you have to access your CurrentWare Console, you need your mobile phone.
- Login with your password and randomized authentication code every time you sign in.
- Receive your 2FA code via text(SMS) or authentication app (Google Auth, Authy, etc)
How to enable two-factor authentication?
- Log into the CurrentWare Web Console
- Go to Settings > Operator > 2FA
- Check the checkbox “Enable 2 Factor Authentication”
- Select the Enforcement
- Enforcement ON: all users are required to set up 2FA before they log in
- Enforcement OFF: 2FA is optional. Allow users to turn on/off 2FA for their account
- After two-factor authentication is enabled, the next time your operators log into the web console, they will be prompted to choose a two-factor authentication method (app or SMS).
Notes
- Two-factor authentication is only available for customers on a CurrentWare subscription. If you’re a CurrentWare customer, contact the sales team to activate two-factor authentication on your web console.
