Manage and Reclaim Licenses by Deleting Inactive Computers

Manage and Reclaim Licenses by Deleting Inactive Computers

In order to maintain the accuracy and performance of the CurrentWare software, it is important to keep the list of client computers up-to-date. This involves regularly deleting computers that are no longer in service due to replacement or decommission.

The Licensing – Manage Computers provide an easy way to sort computers by “last connected” and bulk delete multiple computers at once for any size organization.

Steps to sort and delete client PCs

  1. Go to the “Settings” menu.
  2. Navigate to “Licensing” and select “Manage computers.”
  3. Identify the computers that haven’t been connected in a while and you wish to remove.
  4. Click the “Remove” button to delete these computers from the console. The License will also be removed and added back to your pool of available licenses.

License Management Page Update – Enhanced Filtering and Bulk Actions

The License Computers tab in the Licensing section has been updated with several improvements for easier management:

  • New “Unselect All” Option: Quickly clear all solution licenses from computers with the new horizontal unselect all button.

  • Enhanced Visibility: View key details like Last Connected, Group, and Version to better target and manage your devices.

  • Enhanced Sorting: Sort and manage unlicensed computers based on when they last connected to streamline license allocation.

These changes help simplify license assignment and give better visibility into your endpoint status.
