Is CurrentWare hosted on-premises or on the cloud?

CurrentWare is available as both a cloud-hosted SaaS solution and an on-premises deployment. Both options support monitoring and managing remote and in-office workers.

CurrentWare Cloud (SaaS)

CurrentWare Cloud is a fully hosted solution managed by CurrentWare. There is nothing to install on a server - simply deploy the lightweight CurrentWare Client to your end-users' computers and start monitoring from the web-based console.

CurrentWare Cloud is ideal for organizations that want to:

  • Get up and running quickly without server setup
  • Avoid ongoing infrastructure maintenance
  • Support fully remote or hybrid workforces
  • Scale without managing their own database or server resources

On-Premises Deployment

CurrentWare can also be self-hosted on your own infrastructure or on a cloud provider of your choice (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

The on-premises deployment has two components:

  1. CurrentWare Server - installed on your server, IT admin's computer, or a cloud instance
  2. CurrentWare Client - installed on your end-users' computers

Where is data stored?

On-premises: All tracked data and settings are stored in the CurrentWare database on your own network, on a computer of your choice. CurrentWare does not have access to any data collected in an on-premises deployment.

CurrentWare Cloud: Data is stored in CurrentWare's secure cloud infrastructure. For details on data handling, retention, and privacy, see our terms of service.

Does CurrentWare have access to my employees' data?

For on-premises deployments: No. All data remains on your own network or cloud instance. CurrentWare does not transmit or have access to any tracked data.

For CurrentWare Cloud: Data is processed and stored within CurrentWare's managed infrastructure. Please refer to our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement
