Import Operators From Active Directory (LDAPS)

Import Operators From Active Directory (LDAPS)

If you have many users that need to have operator accounts in CurrentWare and you intend to enable Single Sign-On for those accounts using Entra ID, you can opt to import them to reduce the manual effort of creating all the accounts.  Note that you still need to configure the permissions for each operator to ensure that each operator has only the permissions that are required.

Alert
Currently, the import of operators is supported only if a local Active Directory setup is available.

Configure the import

Access this feature from Settings > Operators > Active Directory for SSO

1. Enter the details required to connect to your Active Directory

2. Enable the option “Connect using LDAPS” if you have configured LDAPS for Active Directory

3. After successfully connecting, you will see a list of all users, from which you can filter or search by OU, security group, or individual name or email address.

4. Select the checkbox for each user that you wish to import, and specify whether they are an administrator or user operator type
5. Once they are imported, you will find these users in the OPERATORS tab, from which you can set up the permissions.
