How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Estimated time: 2–5 minutes

Overview Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your CurrentWare Cloud account. Once enabled, you'll need to verify your identity with a second method each time you sign in. You can choose between an authenticator app or SMS verification.

Step 1: Open Your Profile Menu

In the bottom-left corner of the console, click your name or profile icon to open the account menu.

Step 2: Go to Profile

From the menu that appears, click Profile.

Step 3: Find the Security Section

On your Profile page, scroll down to the Security section. You will see two 2FA options available:

  • Authenticator App — Generate a one-time code using an app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
  • SMS Authentication — Receive a verification code by text message to your mobile number

Step 4: Choose Your 2FA Method

Click Use this mode under your preferred method and follow the on-screen setup instructions.

Notes
Authenticator App (recommended): Download Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or your 3rd party Authenticator of choice on your mobile device before starting. You will be prompted to scan a QR code to link your account.
Notes
SMS Authentication: Make sure you have access to the mobile number associated with your account before starting. Standard carrier messaging rates may apply.
✅ 2FA is now active! Your account will require verification each time you sign in. If you lose access to your authentication method, contact our support team for assistance.
