Does CurrentWare Work on macOS?

Yes! As of CurrentWare version 12.0.0, CurrentWare supports macOS.

macOS Support Overview

  1. The CurrentWare macOS client is compatible with the latest two versions of macOS:
    1. macOS Sonoma (v14)
    2. macOS Sequoia (v15)
  2. The BrowseReporter* solution is supported on macOS.

*The macOS client does not yet have full feature parity with the Windows client.

What Works on macOS Today

The macOS client and browser-based tracking support the following capabilities:
  1. Website (URL) tracking
  2. Application usage tracking
  3. Activity logging
  4. High-level activity timeline
  5. Browser support:
    1. Safari
    2. Google Chrome
    3. Microsoft Edge
    4. Mozilla Firefox

Feature Parity & Limitations

  1. Screen capture, location reporting, and some alerting features are planned for later 2026 release phases.
  2. Browser tracking capabilities may vary by browser due to macOS security restrictions

Will CurrentWare work with other Apple products such as iPhone or iPads?

At this point in time products that use IOS software, such as iPhones or iPads are not supported and support is not currently on our active roadmap.
