Client Upgrade Status Report

The Client Upgrade Status Report is a dashboard that shows administrators the current progress of CurrentWare client upgrades.  It provides an overview of all the computers that have connected to this CurrentWare server, and the client versions installed on those computers.

This dashboard can help with the client upgrade process to ensure that the computers you manage are providing the full data tracking and blocking functionality.

How do I use it?

This is accessed from Tools > Logs > CLIENT UPGRADE STATUS

The three cards show at a glance the number and proportion of computers that are running the current version of the client, are in progress, or have not started the upgrade process.

A Detailed List shows all the computers in a table, allowing you to search and filter by computer names, computer groups,

Why are there computers in the “Not started” section?

These are computers that have not connected to your CurrentWare server.  Once the client has connected successfully, and has been notified of the required upgrade, then it will begin the upgrade process and will show as “In Progress”.

What does the Redirect button do?

If a client experiences some connection issues when attempting the upgrade, after some unsuccessful retries it may stop trying to retrieve/send data to the CurrentWare server.  The Redirect button attempts to contact the client and request it to reconnect to the CurrentWare server again in order to continue trying the upgrade process.

I don’t see all the computers I’m expecting

If some of the computers are unlicensed, then you may show these by clicking on the “Show unlicensed computers” button near the top right of the dashboard.
