Client Connection Validations through CurrentWare server manager
Client Connection Validations through CurrentWare server manager
You can set how clients entries are dealt with when connecting to the CurrentWare console. There are 3 options:
1. Standard (Default option)
A
standard client connection works off of the Computer name and MAC
Address. If you rename a PC, it will create a whole new entry into the
CurrentWare Console.
2. Stricter
A
stricter client connection works off of the Computer name and MAC
Address. If you rename a PC, it will update the existing entry in the
CurrentWare Console.
3. Computer Name Only
With
the computer name only option, it will only ever look at the computer
name and not refer to the PC MAC address. This can result in multiple
entries for the same PC if not managed correctly.
